OUR STORY

 OUR STORY

Hi, I'm Robyn Ellis, the woman behind WONDERER.

Over the last 15 years I have helped family, home and lifestyle brands to tell their story to consumers through clever, creative and carefully considered marketing and PR campaigns.

In 2020, I left my role as an Account Director and Creative Lead at a top communications agency to set up WONDERER with the goal of offering one-on-one support to brands that want to achieve great things, but don't have the budget to hire a full time marketing agency or in-house PR professional. By working with me, you have a senior marketing expert on your team, without the big price tag.

A creative mind that never rests, I am forever thinking of new, interesting and innovative ideas for my clients. Over the years, I have managed the media relations programmes and comms strategies for big brands and household names, such as Galt Toys, Moshulu, Micro Skate, Zoono, Mookie, Ambi, WOW! Stuff, Monster, Origin, Stagecoach and Tinc.

For many years, I led the international media relations programme for the world's biggest toy organisation, The Toy Association. This included leading a delegation of journalists at the show as part of a strategy that attracted thousands of toy exhibitors and visitors to New York Toy Fair every year.

From implementing influencer marketing campaigns with the contestants of The Great British Bake Off, to launching a new range of Star Wars toys to market, and hosting press events with the dancers of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing - there's never been a dull moment.

A highlight of my career was featuring on BBC Radio 2 drivetime. Being interviewed by Jo Whiley and Simon Mayo put me in the hot seat, so I can relate when preparing clients for big - and often dauting - media interviews.

Since launching WONDERER I have worked with incredible brands that inspire me and so many wonderful people (who have been kind enough to offer their testimonials if you'd like to take a look at the 'WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY' page).

Within that time I have also had a daughter, who has given me a deep insight into motherhood, and how brands can better engage with families within their marketing approach.

Whether you need support mapping out a brand new marketing strategy, or would like an experienced pair of hands to help with a specific marketing activity, then I'd love to hear from you.

WHAT IS A WONDERER?

WONDERER.

noun. someone who is curious about something.

type of: intellectintellectual. a person who uses the mind creatively

noun. someone filled with admiration and awe; someone who wonders at something

-

Wonderer is an amalgamation of two essential things that need to happen for creativity to thrive.

Wonder

Curiosity is the fuel that drives creativity and lateral thinking. Working across a range of industries prevents tunnel vision and allows us to take inspiration from everywhere, learn from others and feed our imagination. We only need to look at Einstein and Darwin for proof that multiple interests produce great innovators.

Wandering

By staying in one place you only get one perspective. The biggest challenges are often solved by coming at them from a different direction. Creativity can only happen when you give your brain time to wander.
